September 2008 - Phil Watson
The total # of officials is required from Swim Ontario around about March each year - something to do with the sports grant that we receive.
The NOC needs from OSOA, the # Level 2s and up by region so OSOA is keeping a database of these.
We are collecting the names to substantiate both of them, above and, also to ratify compliance with the Officials Development Plan as a condition for a meet sanction getting regional approval.

Effective Sept 2007 the region will be tracking our officials and their development in a different way. Firstly, it will be done electonically. Download the Officials 2007 Registration Form from here, fill it in and email it back to me.
Secondly, we were responding to the new regulation that swim clubs must have and continuously develop a “core” of officials in order to be granted a Swim Ontario Sanction for their swim meets.
This plan is a “phased in” approach with slightly higher targets each year for 3 years. The enforcement by validating meet sanctions kicks in in Year 2 (season 2008/9).
